“To know me, is to know my passion for great cupcakes.” – The Vegetarian Tourist
Yes, one of my “things” is enjoying and savoring great cupcake finds from coast to coast. Therefore, it was a no-brainer when I got an invitation to an event at Sprinkles Cupcakes from The Windy City Blogger Collective. A coveted peek inside the Sprinkle’s kitchen, learn how to frost cupcakes from the experts and of course get to indulge in cupcakes from the national best-selling boutique? Duh, I’m in!!
I’m not even sure what my favorite part of the whole experience was, because I was literally like a kid in a candy store (or shall I say a kid in a cupcake kitchen??) and I loved every second of it. Everything from the tour of the kitchen seeing all the large appliances and ingredients that go into making the famous cupcakes to watching the demo on how to frost cupcakes the “Sprinkles” way to having the chance to frost and decorate my very own cupcake. Let’s just say that frosting cupcakes was much harder than I expected and I have a new-found appreciation for all of those Sprinkles cupcake frosters who pump out dozens of cupcakes in the time it took me to frost one lone cupcake. The precision and uniformity of their frosting skills were impressive!
So, I thought a fun way to tell you more about Sprinkles Cupcakes and what I love about them would be to write a little poem. Why not? I’ll let my creativity shine and have a little fun with this. I’ll call this, “An Ode To Sprinkles Cupcakes.”
The hip cupcake boutique that started in L.A.;
Popped up nationwide in what felt like a day.
Sprinkles even invented the first ever “Cupcake ATM”;
Where you can cure your cupcake fix anytime day or night, it works like a gem.
Creative and seasonal flavors, there are so many cupcakes to choose from;
It really is near impossible to just choose one.
Sprinkle’s menu of cupcake options comes in a cute little legend with colorful dots,
So you can study it in advance or just decide on the spot.
There is one cupcake in particular that has stolen my heart;
How to begin describing it, where do I start?
It’s called the Peanut Butter Chip Cupcake, just so you know;
Only available on on Tuesdays and Sundays, and for that you must definitely go!
Starting with a moist peanut butter cake studded with dark chocolate chips;
Topped with a thin layer of peanut butter buttercream frosting, yes, seriously, get a grip!
It’s then covered with decadent dark chocolate sprinkles imported from France;
And for that, it makes me want to do a “happy dance!”
Sprinkles Cupcakes are in most major cities so definitely check them out when you can. The seasonal menu and daily flavors are always changing and with so many options, you can’t go wrong! Let me know which flavors are your favorite and we can compare notes.
What an awesome event! And, you are so clever with the poem! Aptly named “ode…” 🙂
Thanks Stacy!!
R the cupcakes suitable for vegetarians?
They actually have vegan cupcakes, so yes!
