If you live in Chicago, you know that you have very few weeks to get out and enjoy unbelievable weather. And when summer is here, you can’t waste even one second. It should come as no surprise that you will definitely find me out and about enjoying the best the city has to offer, which is A LOT.
This past weekend I had what I consider one of my most perfect mornings. I started my day off with a smoothie (banana, mango, pineapple, greek yogurt and chia seed) made with my new Wave Action Blender from Hamilton Beach. This blender is designed to make some of the best frozen drinks like smoothies, shakes, margaritas and more. It worked like a charm!
I have an unbelievable rooftop balcony on the 40th floor of my high-rise building so I decided to really soak in the morning and enjoy my smoothie (in cute mason jar) on the rooftop with some fantastic views. I wish the weather in Chicago allowed me to spend more time up here, cause you know I would!
After polishing off my smoothie, I was on my way to the Green City Farmers Market in Lincoln Park. This fabulous market is held every Wednesday and Saturday morning and sadly, this was my first visit for the season. Luckily this farmers market runs outdoors through October, so I am hoping to make it a few more times before it is over for the year. Besides, I love fall farmers markets with all the apples and pumpkins and the yummy pies made from all those apples and pumpkins, ha ha!
To make the market even better, I unexpectedly bumped into my good friend Erica (check out her awesome blog here). It was fun to walk around the market with her and her friends who had just finished a 13 mile run. Yeah, they are all pretty amazing!!!
From the farmers market I made my way over the boardwalk and towards the “turtle shell” at the Lincoln Park Zoo for an unbelievable outdoor yoga class. This private, group yoga class was such a perfect way to stretch, find my zen and take in the stunning views. What a unique, cool experience.
Now, the question is how to make every Saturday morning this fabulous???
Please Note: While I was invited to the event and provided product, all opinions are my own.
