Special birthday, special party.
The irony of what I went through to plan my birthday party is funny now only in retrospect. I literally scoured the city of Chicago for several months to find the perfect place to host my special day. Obviously many factors came into play when trying to decide on a venue; size of the space, cost, availability, proximity, etc. The irony of the situation is that I ended up having my party at a place that was literally underneath my nose (meaning very close to where I live), and I had never even considered this place an option.
The second floor lounge at the dana hotel and spa was the absolute perfect venue for me for so many reasons; the space was able to be blocked off for the evening to make my event private, the open layout of the venue, stunning and modern decor, sunken bar area and separate elevated seated lounge space, great food, full bar and unbelievable service. I didn’t realize what a jackpot I hit until after my party was all said and done for because in the end, I had the best time and more than that, I know all of my guests did as well. It’s truly the ultimate dream of anyone who hosts a big party (or any party for that matter) to receive as many compliments as I did!
I was so fortunate to have family and friends fly in from all over the country to help me celebrate, in addition to my local family and friends. Talk about feeling like the luckiest girl ever! Honestly, if you are looking to host a party, I totally recommend having your event at the dana hotel and spa. It’s such a nice, classy, boutique hotel and a hidden gem that many people probably wouldn’t think of. I know I didn’t, but I’m so glad I did because my party could not have been any more perfect or memorable.
