I’ve tried out some fun products lately that can fit under the category of travel. Check them out and see how I plan to use them on the road:
The Photographing Tourist Book– This book couldn’t be anymore up my alley. Traveler and author David Noyes shares his love for travel and photography in this awesome book including tips and stunning photographs of his adventures. Each chapter begins with advice, suggestions and illustrations to help even the most novice among us view the world through a lens and try to capture what is before us. Not only that, David has included awesome stories from around the globe to make this much more of a personal story than just a “how-to” book. For me personally, I can’t wait to use some of the tips I’ve learned from the book (like trying new angles by placing the camera on the ground shooting up or taking a picture from hip height for new perspectives) and continue to see my photography skills grow. I know each day I’m getting better and better at photography and I’m really enjoying it!
Acrhipelago Botanicals Soy Milk Hand Creme– Even though the harsh winter months are now past us (well, hopefully…you never know here in Chicago), my hands are always still dry from all the hand washing and harsh soap. I recently tried out the Archipelago Botanicals soy milk hand creme and absolutely loved it. The soy extract and soy proteins definitely leave your hands feeling soft and smooth and not at all greasy. I also loved the subtle scent of the hand creme and have been using it pretty much daily. It’s perfect for cold winter days, or even just to keep handy as you travel. I always find myself needing hand cream on the road and this will definitely be in my purse as I head out on a some upcoming trips, like to SF next week!
Wild Garden Hummus And Crackers Snack Pack– I’ve definitely learned the hard way that when I travel, I must ALWAYS travel with snacks on hand. No one wants to see me hangry! The Wild Garden hummus and cracker snack packs are the perfect travel companion for this veggie girl. While plain crackers are great, getting the extra bit of protein from the hummus will really help keep me satiated until my next meal. These perfect travel size snacks come in a variety of flavors in both crackers as well as hummus, which I loved! Also, the hummus doesn’t need to be refrigerated, so it truly is the perfect item to have on hand when you need something healthy yet filling. I do have one suggestion; if you are tight on space in your handbag/purse, take the crackers and hummus out of the box to save on space. You might have to risk some crushed crackers, but it’s better than not having any option at all. If you do have the space in your handbag/purse, then definitely keep the box to prevent the aforementioned. Happy snacking!
Eating Clean In Costa Rica Book– This colorful book with beautiful pictures captures the recipes and heart of Chef Marie and her international cuisine at Blue Osa, a yoga retreat and spa in Cost Rica. Included are 108 clean eating recipes that use the freshest yet simplest ingredients to create tasty and healthy recipes. The book really caters to anyone, but mostly those of healthy and dietary needs such as gluten-free, low-fat and vegetarian diets. After skimming some great recipes and pictures of coconut flan, black bean soup and mango chutney, not only do I want to try making these, I kind of want to just go to the Blue Osa spa and check out first-hand for myself! It looks amazing and so up my alley. I’m in major need of a getaway and Blue Osa looks like my kind of place. Who wants to join?
Please Note: While I was provided with these products, all opinions are my own.
Love the tips! Your photography is already amazing, can’t wait to see more of it with the knowledge you’ve gained!
